And so it begins!
Now that I am for sure heading to school for baking, I thought it would be a good idea to blog about my adventures as they happen. I mostly just bake for fun and it is enjoyed by family and friends. However, I have been starting to do some small baking projects for people I know.
First, I signed up to make 300 cookies for an organization that I have helped out with for a few years now. Every year they hold a gala as a fundraiser and I have the pleasure and great opportunity to make cookies and allow a very large amount of people to (hopefully) enjoy them! It is quite the task, but I am excited to do it.
Next, a family friend and my yoga teacher has asked me to make cupcakes for her yoga party that she holds in honour of her and a group of friends doing the Ride for Heart every year. She also asked me to bring my business cards to hand out to people. This is what prompted me to make this blog.
I hadn’t really thought about selling all the things that I bake. I really just do it because it’s something that I enjoy doing. But I’ve had a few people tell me now that I should consider selling my baked goods. I figure that if I start off doing a few projects for charities without pay and get my name out there, it could help lead me to the possibility of a small business.
My next few posts will be about these small projects and how they turned out!
