When I first signed up to make these 300 cookies, it seemed like such a daunting task. How was I gonna bake all them by myself? Where was I going to store them all? How was I gonna get them all decorated in time? What if I messed up? All these questions were swirling around my mind until today because I have made it through all the baking and decorating without any problems. This project was not an easy one. However, it wasn’t as stressful as I had thought it would be when I first started.
If someone told me a year ago, even six months ago, that I would be baking six dozen cookies a day for a whole week I would’ve laughed and said they were crazy. It almost feels surreal that this is what I’m doing with my life and that I was able to accomplish such a big project.
With the gala happening on Saturday, I’m excited for people to see what I’ve done. I’m proud of what I was able to do considering I’m not a professional. I’m also looking forward to a nice night out since I’ve been stuck in my apartment for the last three days, so focused on getting all this done in time.
Doing all this has made me really excited to start my new program in September. While it’s gonna be a lot of work, it’s worth it in order to pursue something that I really enjoy and have a passion for.
