Back To Baking

I realized recently that it’s been awhile since I’ve baked something or posted on here. I’ve been so busy with work and other things that both of the aforementioned things had slipped my mind.

My dad’s birthday was this past weekend, so that was a perfect time for me to bake again. His favourite dessert is tiramisu. It’s a classic and definitely something I’ve always wanted to try and make.

The only problem is that I’m not a huge fan of making desserts where you’re eating raw eggs, and most of the recipes I found called for at least 6 eggs, which I wasn’t comfortable with. After more recipe searching, I found the perfect one. A tiramisu cheesecake. You still get the wonderful flavours and elements of a classic tiramisu but it gets baked like a cheesecake so that eggs are no longer raw.

It actually turned out surprisingly well! It felt a little more rich because it was a cheesecake style, but still tasted delicious! Definitely something that I would make again.
